BP Cares!

“Wow”. That’s all we’ve got. :(

If this oil spill hasn’t torn a gaping gash through your faith in “the corporation”, well, you’re as doomed as the rest of us anyway.

BP Cares! Really!

Send a letter to BP.

Show your city that you know BP Cares!

We’ve found a home!

Over the weekend, Harbinger spent a couple of days moving into our new rehearsal hall. The building is an old factory warehouse, and is one of the oldest structures on the Montreal shore…

The building itself is home to some of Canada’s hardest working bands, and we’ve received an amazingly warm welcome from everyone there.

We’ve got a few surprises coming in the next few weeks, so make sure you get the first word; follow us on Twitter!

We think we know, but we have no idea.

“We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity…. Anything you can imagine, we already know how to do.”

- Ben Rich, former Head of the Lockheed Skunk Works, in a lecture shortly before he died

“I printed all the information… and provided [the retired USAF Colonel] a copy… I watched his eyes and facial expressions. After he was finished, he stated, ‘Oh my God, who on this Earth would release such classified material?’ I then asked him if all this information was real. His simple answer was, ‘Yes, all real’.”

- Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, currently assigned to the Pentagon (name not supplied)

Cape Breton Road Trip

Phew… What a trip!

36 hours of driving over 3 days, a couple of destroyed amplifier tubes, 1 awesome hotel room, some life lessons with some of the greatest drummers in the world and one of the coolest venues on the east coast transformed a wonderful trip into an amazing one.

Top 10 things overheard during 5 days of east coast travel:

10. “I will break their jaw if they don’t have a McLobster!”
9. “Where are we? And where’s JP?!”
8. “Lookin’ good is a privilege, not a right.” (Bernard Purdie)
7. “I’m hungry. Let’s pull over.”
6. “Where’s Everett?”
5. “‘Please restore software’??? Fuck this GPS, check your iPhone.”
4. “There are a million things you can do with 7/8 time…” (Carmine Appice)
3. “I don’t care what happens, I’m eating lobster!!”
2. “_________, eh!”
1. “Periphaaarry!”

We snapped a ton of video and images, so we’ll be spending the next few days editing it into something halfway recognizable, and getting it onto YouTube.

Thanks to everyone at the Cape Breton Int’l Drumfest for the invite, support and hospitality. In particular, we would like to thank; Bruce and Gloria Aitken, Evans drumheads, Sabian cymbals, Los Cabos drumsticks, Pearl drums, Bill Appleby, Carmine Appice, Alan White, Bernard Purdie, Redge (Pearl Drums), Danielle Cormier, Paul Frederick, Brad Park, Everett (our driver) and Ricochet.

A massive thank you! goes out to Maman Bourgeois and Michel, the Bertrand family and the West family.

There’s also a new interview posted on Harbinger’s MySpace! Bradley & Elie talk about the future of the band and touch on some music industry issues. Check it! http://lnk.ms/9FHN9

Road Trip – Blog #1

We’re updating our MySpace with pics from the road every hour… Check it out here: Harbinger MySpace Road Trip Pics

The drive is a long an arduous one, but thanks to JP’s time travelling jukebox, we can go from Billy Joel to Daughters in seconds. :)

We started the day at an ungodly hour, and we’ve sniffed more cow shit than we’d care to but we’re havin’ a gnarly time.

We’ll have some video for you later today.
